This is the 4th pair of boots that I looked at and the one that I kept. First, I looked at the Uggs Bailey button but Uggs increased their prices across the board! I feel like Uggs is getting more and more commercialized. Second, I looked at Koolaburra Waterproof classic boots- argh- didn't know that they came in both "faux" shearling and "real" shearling. Unfortunately, I got the faux shearling one and the real shearling equivalent was more expensive than Uggs for a very simple classic short boot. And the "faux" shearling is VERY stiff. Third, I got the Emu Alba. They were very soft. But...the box says chestnut but the product inside was more of sand! Living in the Northeast with tons of snow, a light-colored pair would not do. And Amazon is already out of stock on the Alba. And then... I saw this pair of boots. It is more expensive but Amazon agreed to match the price of the Alba! On the same size, these boots are also softer and less tight than the Alba. All in all, great shoes and great deal.
