I had the opportunity to put this pair under stress use right away. I drove for 4 1/2 hours and the next day flew for several hours which also included a lot of walking at the airports, followed by another drive for 4 1/2 hours on the return. I'm realistic enough to know that my feet are one of a kind and that ordering only by description and reviews is tricky at best. I did buy a half size larger based on reviews. I found the shoes comfortable except when in a mandatory sitting position for several hours. However, upon rising and walking around the discomfort was eased. The discomfort was primarily on the top of the right foot. If designers are paying attention, I would make the cut to the side with elastic longer to consider people with high arches. For just a couple of hours, its fine but longer time periods in one position starts to be uncomfortable - keeping in mind it was only one foot but each person is unique. Otherwise, I love the shoes! They are comfortable and the heel provides a lift and elongation to my calves that I've been unable to achieve anymore, as I can't wear heels without toppling over anymore. Because I got the 'brown' from my usual black, my outfits didn't always reflect the best and I'm considering buying another pair in black.
